I am 100% satisfied with my placement through Korvia! Juno Suh worked hard to find a school that fulfilled my wishes perfectly. Having worked at a private hagwon for 1 year, I desperately wanted to go public. In Korea, hagwons are more about money than education. I can now officially say that working for a public school is a far more pleasant experience, both professionally and socially. Hagwons discourage friendships between Korean staff and foreign teachers, and that just simply sucks. If you want to work with Korean people and broaden your cultural experience, work for a public school (you will learn much more of the language too!). The staff I work with now are not just colleagues, but true friends who will enrich my life and career as a teacher. If you want to really delve into Korean culture, working for a public school is the way to do it! By Rachel Lucking
