Yes indeed. This situation is determined by both you and your school. If your school likes you and you like the school you can stay for as long as you wish. This will be determined on a yearly basis once the contract is complete and if you decide to renew your contract you may sign another one year contract. Staying with a school has a lot of positive aspects. You are still entitled to all the benefits for completing your contract ie: paid flight home and bonus. If you decide to sign another contract with your school you will also be provided another round trip ticket to your home country. So, you could take a vacation in between the old and new contract, visit home and then back to Korea all paid for by your school. Also, you will receive a higher salary based on the fact that you have a full year teaching experience behind you. If you would like to stay in Korea but teach at a different Public School, KorVia Consulting will be there to assist you in finding want you want. The visa process will be much simpler the second time around so doing this will be much less time consuming for you. We keep your documents and information on file for you (always in a secured and private way), so we can just submit them again on your behalf and facilitate the hiring and visa process for you. We'll just need to update a few things (so you receive a higher salary). We have several teachers we work with that enjoy being in Korea but like to try different locations throughout South Korea. Each year they let us know where they would like to be and we gladly arrange that for them.
